More About Me
I graduated with a Journalism & Mass Communications degree from Drake University. From there, I spent a number of years in the television news industry as both a producer and executive producer in California and Wisconsin.
Recognizing the future in digital – both in news and in general – I went back to school to learn web design and development and eventually found my way back to Des Moines to work at an advertising agency as a web developer. Thanks to my talents in both communications and digital, I progressed from development into a content marketing and SEO role.
After a bit, I moved to another Des Moines agency and remained focused on SEO and content marketing, while expanding into paid search strategies as well as project management.
From there I moved into the corporate world where I currently work as a web analyst to track and interpret data while focusing on website SEO performance.
In my free time, I like to stay involved in my community. I take part in a number of local organizations including the Drake University Central Iowa Regional Advisory Board, Urbandale Community Theatre board of directors, and numerous community theatre organizations both on and off the stage.
I also enjoy a love of travel, writing, hanging out at coffee shops, sampling local breweries, creating videos, hiking, biking, playing video games, or just hanging out with my dog, Chace.
